Fade to Black (1980)

With some fantastic performances, a great mix of horror and drama, and a thoroughly gripping story, Fade to Black is an underrated classic.

Though tonally inconsistent at times, The Pit and the Pendulum works thanks to a stellar cast, impressive direction, and a riveting story.

With more guests, more movies, and more topics, In Search of Darkness: Part II takes what made the first one great and expands further.

With tons of interviewees, plenty of movies covered, and issues of the time discussed, In Search of Darkness is an excellent documentary.

While its love story is somewhat cliche, Dirty Dancing still works thanks to its lead actors, great soundtrack, and iconic dance sequences.
